Introduction
My name is Ross and I like beer.
I also like Whisky, Gin, Vodka, Cider and a whole multitude of other drinks, but that’s not what this is about.
Lockdown bought an opportunity for many people to better
themselves, to pick up new skills like learning a new language, 1,000,000
loaves of banana bread were made and people that had never run in their lives
were suddenly clogging the streets as part of their government sanctioned yard
time.
I however decided on a different goal, I wanted to drink the United Kingdom.
Ground Rules
First and foremost, I must stress, this is and never will descend into some “influencer” bullshit. Many in the hospitality sector have lost their jobs in the last year and I’m not about to start asking for free beer in exchange for views and likes, that and I’m likely to get three people reading this. This as well as being a bit of fun, is about helping out the industry that has been so good to me, in albeit a small way.
Picking Process
In the United Kingdom there are 94 separate counties, from these a random generator is used to pick the county for the first beer order.
Then I manually research all the breweries within the county, as they have to be able to deliver to me. Once these have been worked through, they are added to the same randomiser.
Once there I have allowed myself to choose the beer from the site. There are some beers that I don’t especially like, stout for instance. As such it would not be fair of me to be critical of something, I know I don’t like.So as above shows the first brewery on my adventure is West Brewery based in Glasgow.
I decided to go with the WEST Haul – The ultimate mixed case priced at £25 (plus delivery) which is described as:
"The ultimate mixed case featuring one of every beer we brew! A 12 pack mixture of core cans, core bottles and discovery bottles.

Review Process
Although I like beer, I am far from an expert on the stuff I know what I like, I know what I don’t like but I’ll always be willing to give everything a try so at the end of each review I will provide the following overview.
· Favourite Beer
· Least Favourite Beer (I won’t use the word worst because to someone else it might be brilliant)
· Would I buy again
· Would I recommend
Remember these are just the ramblings of a beer drinker on the internet, much like reading Facebook or Twitter, take my words with a pinch of salt.
With 94 Counties, this is naturally a long-term project which will run, hopefully for some time. I will experiment with the format so there maybe unboxing videos which those cool kids on the ol’ YouTube do, there might be live sessions further down the line but episode one will just be simply words and pictures.
Hopefully you’ll join me on this adventure and pop along next time when I give my thoughts on West Beer’s Ultimate Mixed Case.
Nice first post dude, I look forward to the posts to. Come!
